At UWI we take great pride in our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as our Certificate and Diploma programmes which are designed to meet the changing needs of the Caribbean in the global environment. While each of the four campuses offers a range of programmes accessible to registered students, UWI’s academic schedule also features a slate of summer programmers that are accessible to persons who meet the matriculation standards but may not be registered students as well as open lectures for the general public.

Entry Requirements for Higher Degrees
Applicants to the UWI Cave Hill postgraduate programmes must satisfy the University Regulations governing admission to a Higher Degree and must generally possess an Honours Degree.
Requirements for:
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
Applicants to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes should normally hold an Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree, but persons with course-based Masters degrees will be considered for direct entry to the Ph.D. under special circumstances in consultation with the relevant Faculty.
Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)
Applicants to the Doctor of Business Administration programme should hold a Master's degree with a B+ average in a management-based discipline and, either a proved record of accomplishment at the managerial level or have been lecturing at the tertiary level for at least three years.
Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.)
Applicants to M.Phil. programmes should normally have at least an Upper Second Class Honours degree.
Master of Arts (MA), Master of Education (M.Ed.), Master of Science (M.Sc.), Master of Laws (LL.M.)
Applicants to course-based Masters programmes (e.g. Master of Arts, Master of Education, Master of Science, Master of Laws, etc) should normally have at least a Lower Second Class Honours degree or equivalent.
Candidates with Pass degrees, who have other relevant qualifications and substantial experience in the field to which they are applying, will be considered for entry to course-based Masters programmes on a case by case basis.
Candidates with Pass degrees will normally be considered for entry into Masters programmes no sooner than two (2) years after the completion of the undergraduate degree.
