To evaluate applicants to the regular Baccalaureate Program, the institution uses two (2) indicators: academic record, as well as potential and artistic ability.
Applicants must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.00 and present the results of the College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB) or SAT. Transfer students must have a minimum general academic average of 2.50 and a minimum of 12 credits approved at the institution of origin. The same applies to the Program of Free Studies.
Anyone who aspires to be admitted to the regular Baccalaureate Program, must submit a Portfolio of works or take the entrance evaluation Seminar and be evaluated by a Committee composed of an expert faculty in their fields, whose decision is final, firm and unappealable.
It is recommended for students who have experience in the arts and have a demonstrable body of work. To be evaluated the candidate will present a minimum of ten (10) artistic and / or creative works of his authorship, in original. The Portfolio must reflect the interests, concepts, creativity, energy and motivation, as well as the previous experience in the art and / or design that the applicant has. All works must contain visual and content force, as well as be presented in final form.
Four (4) of the submitted works must be drawings (charcoal, conté, pencil, ink). The drawings will be made based on observation, live models and / or still life. Reproduction drawings will not be considered. The aspirant must demonstrate his handling of the elements and principles of expression, such as light and shadow, perspective, composition and use of space. The remaining six (6) can be in the areas of sculpture, painting, graphic arts, illustration and fashion design, models and / or industrial design prototypes or a combination of these.
